Pool Service Tech

The pool service technician will maintain and service pools. This position will be responsible for testing pool water, vacuuming pools, cleaning the surfaces, and work on various pool equipment. The technician may also be responsible for maintenance in other specialized areas such as heater and filter work.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, although other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Perform on-site water testing and treat problems accordingly

  • Troubleshoot other various chemistry issues

  • Vacuum and clean pools

  • Maintain pool equipment and ensure proper operation

  • Assist in maintaining other specialized areas such as heater or tile work

  • Maintain a safe driving record

 

SCOPE OF POSITION: 

The pool service technician is responsible for providing onsite pool and customer service.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Prior experience or training in pool maintenance, customer service, or related fields preferred but not mandatory.

 

Skills: Must have adequate phone, communication, writing, multitasking, and organization skills. Must be detail-oriented to ensure all mistakes are caught. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be resourceful and use commonsense when problem solving. Must have customer service training and skills.

 

Abilities: Ability to make various mathematical calculations and understand the impact of various pricing options to the overall profitability of the company. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Outside environment. May be exposed to all weather conditions.

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: 

Physical demands may include lifting bags up to 50 pounds,

Customer Service

Tim's specializes in all things swimming pools and hot tubs and operates a successful retail store while serving our community. This includes providing free water testing, pool/spa chemicals, pool/spa parts, various sales and much more. See below summary of which each position.

Store Manager:
- Responsible for the overall successful operation of the store while maintaining company standards.
- Supervises, recruits, trains, develops, coaches and communicates with all Associates and 
- Leads by example and maintains the highest standards of integrity, quality and timeliness in all of our business practices both internally and with our external partners.
- Prepares and maintains merchandise displays.
- Operates with absolute fiscal responsibility.
- Participates in store set up, daily operations, closing inventory and store close down.
- Adheres to weekly work schedule and is flexible to the needs to the business.
